Does Tom Hardy base his roles soley on whether or not there's an accent involved?
He had that weird Eastern European thing in The Dark Knight Rises, he had a thick Welsh accent in Locke and he rocked a Brooklyn / Marlon Brando thing in The Drop.
In Child 44, Hardy is going full Soviet Russian as he and Gary Oldman (another accent criminal) team up to hunt down a serial killer who specialises in pushing kids in front of trains.
Yeeshk.
Joining Oldman and Hardy is a seriously impressive cast, including The Killing's Joel Kinnaman, Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke and Girl With The Dragon Tattoo's Noomi Rapace.
It looks grim and gripping, to say the least, with a pretty intense performance by Hardy and Oldman.
Child 44 will hit Irish cinemas later in 2015.
