You're probably reading that headline and thinking to yourself, "Am I having some kind of brain aneurysm or is the person who wrote this having one?"
Friends, let us be clear - this is a real film that exists, has been shot with cameras, and even features the voice-work of noted country troubadour Kris Kristofferson. That's right, the star of Heaven's Gate, A Star Is Born, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, the guy who sang Me & Bobby McGee and one-fourth of The Highwaymen, is in this film.
A film about a dog who is brought back to life so that he can help plan the wedding of his master. Again, this is a real film that exists. This is not some elaborate joke. This exists. It is real. Moreover, it isn't some high-concept, absurdist comedy sketch. This is all completely straight.
It's... well, just look at the trailer. Decide for yourself if you want to continue living in a world where Kris Kristofferson is now reduced to voicing a ghost dog who helps to plan a wedding you'd go out of your way to avoid.
Still thinking we're making this up? There's even a plot synopsis. "When a tragic accident takes the life of her dog, Tara is forced to cancel her wedding. With a little help from above, their small town rallies together to make sure these two are able to have the wedding of their dreams."
If this doesn't sweep the boards at the Oscars this year, there is no justice in this world.
