While Farrell may be the films main draw, it's star-on-the-rise Barry Keoghan that's set to steal every scene in Yorgos Lanthimos' follow-up to 'The Lobster'.
'The Killing of a Sacred Deer' has been surrounded by buzz since it was in development and since Cannes audiences got their eyes on it, it's become one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.
Starring Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Barry Keoghan, and Alicia Silverstone, the film centers around a surgeon (Farrell) who adopts a teenager (Keoghan) into his family of two (Nicole Kidman and Raffey Cassidy) but things start to get increasingly weird to the point that, according to the teaser, people start getting burned with lighters and end up bound to hospital beds.
We're getting 'We Need To TalkĀ About Kevin' and 'A Clockwork Orange' vibes, which is both exciting and very disturbing.
'The Killing of a Sacred Deer' is scheduled for release in Irish cinemas on November 17th.
