Hey girl, do you need a good cry?
Because La La Land looks like it's not only going to make you cry, it also looks like it's going to be HA-UGE at this year's Oscars. Really. They're just going to fire Oscars at the cast and Damien Chazelle with a T-shirt gun.
The nostalgia-driven musical sees Gosling and Stone as two lovebirds in Los Angeles, one a struggling musician and the other an actress who find one another and fall in love. The first trailer featured a song by Gosling and now the second trailer sees Stone singing her song.
Take a look.
Can you say Oscar Buzz? That's our word of the day, folks. OSCAR BUZZ. This film has so much OSCAR BUZZ that it's actually hard to look at the trailer.
Damien Chazelle, as we know, wrote and directed the excellent Whiplash in 2014 and has been working on La La Land almost as soon as the film wrapped. Whiplash scored a Best Picture nomination and wins for Best Supporting Actor for JK Simmons, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing in the 2015 Oscars and it's all but a given that La La Land is going to feature in the coming awards season.
La La Land is set for a January 2017 release date here in Ireland, however the film is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival later this month.
