Liam Neeson, or more so Liam Neeson's wallet and his accountant, must be so grateful the universe threw Taken his way because it seems like 6 months doesn't go by without some sort of action-thriller starring Neeson hitting the big screen.
Based on the Lawrence Block bestselling series of mystery novels, A Walk Among the Tombstones stars Neeson as Matt Scudder, a former NYPD cop who now makes his dollar as a rough around the edges Private Investigator, who reluctantly takes on the job of finding the people responsible for kidnapping and murdering the wife of a heroin trafficker (Downton Abbey's dearly departed Cousin Matthew AKA Dan Stevens) and of course things go from there and get all sorts of hairy.
With vibes of True Detective and Se7en, this looks like something a bit more than your average Neeson caper, but there's still plenty of punching and shooting if that's what you're looking for. The best of both sides of Neeson really.
A Walk Among The Tombstones is set for release in Irish cinemas on September 19th.
