Are you a Muppets Fan? With the new installment of the world renowned franchise 'Muppets Most Wanted' right around the corner, there's no shame in one starting to feel that air of excitement. Well, if you need something to tick you over until it's released on the 28th of March,The Industry Trust and Walt Disney Studios are launching an exclusive trailer on LoveMovies.ie that sees Miss Piggy try to identify Kermit from his evil doppelganger Constantine. Can she pick the 'real thing'?
The exclusive Muppets trailer encourages audiences to choose the real deal and experience Lovemovies.ie, which is supported by The Industry Trust for Intellectual Property Awareness, an important body that does important work in safeguarding the Irish Film and TV Industry.
LoveMovies.ie is a dedicated space to show some love to the audiences who support the film industry by choosing to consume media through legitaimate means. There are almost 20,000 people working in jobs that are related to film and TV in Ireland and the work done by The Industry Trust goes a long way in protecting an industry we know and love.
The trailer follows on from the success of previous Moments Worth Paying For campaigns, this time featuring original Walt Disney Studios access to the cast and crew of 'Muppets Most Wanted' to deliver the exclusive material to help ensure that audiences are not only entertained but also inspired to choose official film, TV and video content.
“The Muppets Most Wanted bespoke message features the tongue-in-cheek characters that people know and love, together with an ‘imposter’ theme, making it the perfect fit for our campaign message, inspiring consumers to choose the real deal.
'Copyright infringement is still a key issue that the Irish Film & Television industry is continuing to tackle and if we can entertain audiences whilst we educate them then that’s a positive outcome. It’s been wonderful working on this collaboration with Walt Disney Studios and we’re delighted with the final trailer.
'This is the first Moments Worth Paying For campaign from Lovemovies.ie 2014 and we believe this style of message will further increase consumer awareness of the range of legal alternatives to piracy. We also know the appeal of MUPPETS MOST WANTED will encourage audiences out to their local cinema and enjoy a night at the pictures.” said Alison Crinion, Communications Director at Industry Trust for IP Awareness.
Trish Long, Vice President and General Manager Walt Disney Studios, Ireland, commented on the campaign:
“The Walt Disney Company, Ireland recognises the extremely important work undertaken by The Irish Industry Trust and is delighted to collaborate so closely on Muppets Most Wanted in order to promote the value of copyright and creativity in Ireland. Campaigns such as this year’s Moments Worth Paying for are an ideal way of highlighting the importance of these issues in an entertaining and engaging manner while inspiring audiences who love film to value great movie moments.”
No doubt that initiatives like this encourages TV and movie lovers to consider the way in which they consume media, inspiring them down more legitimate avenues. Long may it last.
