Bad Moms 2 is a thing and it's a Christmas movie, thus earning for itself the title of Most Unnecessary And Financially-Motivated Sequel of the past 10 years or so.

At what point in the original - Christ, we have to call it that - Bad Moms' film did anyone watching it felt like there was a sequel? A sequel that anyone, outside of the cast's financial advisers, would want to happen? That's right, nobody. Nobody wanted a sequel to Bad Moms. Nobody.

Yet, this is an industry and Bad Moms made $183 million against a production budget of $20 million - so that means we get a sequel. So, how do we top Bad Moms? We set in Christmas and introduced their mothers, which includes Susan Sarandon, Christine Baranski and Cheryl Hines - all of them talented comedic actresses who are all way, way, way better than this.

Of course, the truth is that good roles for women over the age of 40, especially comedic ones, are as scarce as hen's teeth - but this? This shit? Susan Sarandon's obviously got to bankroll the US Green Party all by herself. Christine Baranski, though, she's got The Good Fight. Does she really need this, money-wise? Cheryl Hines, however, has a history of turning in sub-par sequels - such as Think Like A Man Too - and awful comedies - such as Nine Lives. Remember when she was in Curb Your Enthusiasm? She was great in that.

Anyway, here's the trailer for A Bad Moms Christmas. Ugh.
