If you've got about twenty minutes to spare, this is worth watching.
In 1982, John Landis, David Cronenberg and John Carpenter sat down an extended roundtable interview where they discussed their work, public reaction to it, censorship and the realities of working with a rating system.
It's a fascinating watch, and especially considering that all three directors were at their creative zenith. Cronenberg, for example, was in the middle of shooting Videodrome whilst a somewhat withdrawn Carpenter was working on The Thing.
The three directors talk about the impact of horror movies, its popularity, its cultural influences and what made them get into the genre.
Not only that, they talk about their now-classic films and the work and struggles that went into them - especially the practical makeup and effects involved.
Grab a cup of tea / coffee and have a look.
