The Rodarte sisters ,Kate and Laura Mulleavy, make their directorial debut with this trippy and genre-bending film that looks like a cross between a high-fashion perfume ad and 'Melancholia'.
Also starring 'Game of Thrones' actor Pilou Asbæk, Richard Linklater’s daughter and star of 'Boyhood' Lorelei Linklater and Joe Cole, the film was shot in 2015 and while it's hard to say how it will play out or what genre it will fit into, it does have our curiosity piqued.
Here's the official synopsis:
"Woodshock is a hypnotic exploration of isolation, paranoia, and grief that exists in a dream-world all its own. Kirsten Dunst stars as Theresa, a haunted young woman spiraling in the wake of profound loss, torn between her fractured emotional state and the reality-altering effects of a potent cannabinoid drug."
'Woodshock' is set for release this September.
