It's not even gone past 10AM as we're writing this and, already, we're tearing up.
For those alive during the early '80s, Pete's Dragon was a great little Disney musical about a young boy who lived out in the wilds with an imaginary dragon he called Elliott. You might think, "Wow, that's sorta creepy" - and it was, looking back - but Pete's Dragon had a huge amount of warmth and charm that means it's just right for another swing at it.
This version eschews the animated dragon in favour of an actual real-life dragon and has Oscar-winner Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard and Karl Urban attached. It's also directed by David Lowery, who directed the criminally underseen Ain't Them Bodies Saints.
Take a look.
Don't know about you, but that got us right in the area where our heart would be. Also, there's definite Into The Wild / Room vibes, but, y'know, without all the horribleness of both.
Pete's Dragon hits Irish cinemas on August 12th, 2016.
