He nearly got us. Nearly.
Shazam! starring Zachary Levi isn’t due out for another year but that didn’t stop director David F. Sandberg from trolling fans with a little April Fool’s gag.
He released the movie’s new ‘trailer’ on his Twitter account (that has the interestingly titled handle of ‘pony smasher) yesterday. A couple of things in the video started to arouse suspicion. He was voicing it himself for one, but it was the Wonder Woman score and old version of the Warner/DC logo that gave the game away.
The clip then cuts to the Shazam! TV show from the 1970’s set to ACDC’s ‘Thunderstruck’ and we know we’ve been taken for a ride.
