Mark Wahlberg has signed on for another remake, after the financial success of The Italian Job and the utter failure of What About Charlie. The Entourage producer will star in a do-over of the Icelandic thriller, Reykjavic-Rotterdam, which will be Iceland's entry to for foreign language film at the Oscar's in March. The original is about a smuggler who goes straight, getting a job as a security guard, but is then dragged back in when in desperate need of the clams. Hardly sounds ground-breakingly original, but there must be something there if Wahlberg is pursuing it. Somewhat strangely, this version will be directed by the star of the original, Baltasar Kormákur.
