It was only last night when watching Old School when it genuinely occurred to me for the first time in ages, that Vince Vaughn is a very gifted comedian. Swingers is one of my favourite films, Old School is ace, Wedding Crashers hilarious; even his cameo in Mr and Mrs Smith is gold. So what the hell has happened to him?
Well his last good film was The Break Up, and he's now looking to reteam with that films writer, Jeremy Garelick for The Insane Laws. The story centres on two best friends whose lives are turned upside down when one man's son impregnates the other's daughter - it's partly based on Garelick's life.
Garelick will also make his directorial debut with the project. Let's hope it's a return to form for Vaughn, who has gotten beyond lazy with his projects of late.
