Vin Diesel is to star in a film adaptation of a game he helped develop, Wheelman. You may have seen the trailer for the game on your television box; it features a CGI Diesel, looking considerably better that he does in reality. The game has obviously done well, as John Singleton has been signed on to helm a cinematic incarnation. Judging by the look of the game, it will basically involve lots of car chases - let's be honest, the plot really doesn't matter. Diesel is riding high after the huge box-office takings of Fast & Furious, while Singleton hasn't made a decent film in years. He is now officially bordering on hack territory. Nice to see Diesel is messing with the "I'm popular in movies with fast cars" line of thinking.
