Will Forte, star of Saturday Night Live, Conan and most recently the Oscar-winning movie Nebraska is touching down in Dublin this weekend to attend the IFTAs and a special screening of his hot new Irish flick Run & Jump.
Forte, also known for his appearances in 30 Rock and How I Met Your Mother, is set to present an award at the IFTAs this Saturday
Run & Jump sees the Emmy nominated actor in his first dramatic role, playing an uptight American neuropsychologist living in Ireland with a married couple to observe the husband (IFTA nominated Ed MacLiam) who has been afflicted with a sudden personality-changing stroke. The film also stars Maxine Peake (Shameless) as the optimistic wife trying her best to maintain that ever elusive sense of normality.
The film, shot in Kerry, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last year. It was co-written by Steph Green, who also makes her directorial feature debut, and Ailbhe Keogan.
The special screening of Run & Jump - which has been IFTA nominated for Best Film, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Script and Best Editing - marks the beginning of National Stroke Week (6th - 13th April) organised by the Irish Heart Foundation, the national charity fighting heart disease and stroke.
