You have to hand to it to David R. Ellis, he's not a great director, but at least he's far from pretentious.

The man behind Snakes on a Plane and Final Destination 2 and , is currently directing a film about giant sharks swimming around a lake and eating people. It is to be in 3D. He wants to call it, Untitled 3D Shark Thriller, because he hated the previous title, Shark Night 3D. Speaking to Vulture, he said, "I hated the original title [Shark Night 3D], so at our weekly production meetings, I made everyone on the crew come up with names - Chums, Fins, Terror on the Lake - but they all seemed kind of cheesy. And so until I hear a better name, I like what we’ve got right now: Untitled 3D Shark Thriller. The title says everything you need to know: 'We’ve got sharks.' 'It’s in 3D.' and, 'It’s a thriller.'" You f**king genius. There is something rather brilliant about that, but also depressing - do audiences need a film to be spelt out THAT much? It didn't work for Snakes on a Plane, did it? Although Hot Tub Time Machine embraced its silliness wonderfully.

Anyhow, the film is currently being edited and stars a bunch of people you have never heard of, Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan, Katharine McPhee but will probably recognise. All beaten with the beautiful stick so they were. Thus it'll be even more fun watching them being eaten (in 3D). Those wily Hollywood bastards.
