Tom Hanks may very well be the first actor to join director Kathryn Bigelow's first film since her Hurt Locker Oscar success, Sleeping Dogs.

According to DarkHorizons.com the film is about "five men of varying age who all work in the Triple Frontier, the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil where the Igazu and Parana rivers converge and a haven for organized crime and terrorist funding activities." Sounds suitably vague.

Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Jeremy Renner have all been linked with the project also. The Hurt Locker scribe Mark Boal penned the script.
