This is bizarre
Tom and Jerry are headed for the big screen. The classic cat and mouse duo will star in their very own live-action animated movie hybrid, drawing likeness to such films as 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' and 'Space Jam'.
The cast for the movie - which is simply titled 'Tom and Jerry' - includes Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, Colin Jost, Ken Jeong, Rob Delaney and Pallavi Sharda.
Longtime character voice actor Frank Welker will again voice the two titular cartoon characters.
The plot sees Jerry move into New York City’s finest hotel shortly before “the wedding of the century.”
Desperate, the wedding planner (Moretz) hires Tom to get rid of the mouse. The cat and mouse battle that ensues causes chaos.
Little do they know that an ambitious staffer is conspiring against them and the planner.
Tim Story ('Fantastic Four', 'Think Like a Man') directs.
'Tom and Jerry' hits cinemas in 2021.
