Three actors are up for the new lead role in Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games being directed by Francis Lawrence, says E! News.

Apparently, Taylor Kitsch, Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund are up for the part of Odair "a handsome 24-year-old from District 4 who won the annual Hunger Games ten years earlier armed with a trident and a net. He's known for having many lovers around the Capitol." Robert Pattinson just yesterday denied his reported involvement with the franchise, while Hedlund obviously has a good publicist, because he's linked with a lot of roles. Of the bunch, Kitsch needs a guaranteed hit, but Hammer is probably the most likely - depending on how moody the part is.

Production is due to begin in the next few months.
