There were more than a few empty seats at this press conference...

The 'Avengers: Endgame' engines have started, and are ready for another three weeks of fan anticipation.

With just under three weeks left until we can finally see the movie we've all been chomping at the bit for, Marvel have left us seething by rubbing in Thanos' world-changing snap even more.

In a recent press conference for the movie, Jon Favreau, AKA Happy Hogan, AKA Executive Producer on 'Avengers: Endgame', kicked-off proceedings. Introducing all of our favourite Marvel characters from the upcoming superhero movie, the curtain dropped - and so did our jaws.

Straight off the bat, it's painstakingly obvious that there's more than one empty seat on stage.

Just look at all of those fallen comrades.

After the curtain drops, and the audience is allowed their gasping/laughing/forever crying time, Favreau references the elephant in the room, saying "As you can see, post-snap there's a few empty seats." Marvel you sneaky so-and-so's, this is heartbreakingly brilliant.

All the remaining Avengers were in attendance, from the franchise's first members Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans, to newcomers Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, and newest member Brie Larson.

It's not until you see a comparison to last year's 'Avengers: Infinity War' press conference that the death count of Thanos' snap truly hits home.

During the press conference, the remaining cast were asked questions about the upcoming superhero conclusion. One such question which is on everyone's mind, we kid you not, is whether the cast liked a bearded or clean-shaven Captain America.

As well as poking fun at each-other and trying to bat away any potential spoilers - it seems Karen Gillan may have made a minor slip-up. If you don't want to know anything about 'Endgame' then LOOK AWAY NOW. Here's the tweet that reveals Gillan's answer, when asked what Nebula's journey may be.

We'll have to wait just a few more weeks, with 'Avengers: Endgame' set to release in Irish cinemas on April 25th.
