...there isn't going to be one, basically.
According to a recent interview with Joss Whedon, the director of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the time-honoured tradition of a post-credits scene will not be present in the latest Marvel offering.
"We all came at it separately - we don't want to chase that. That was a jewel and a weird little quirk," explained Whedon.
There will, however, be a short little epilogue scene just after the credits start - but not the usual final scene at the very end of the film like most Marvel movies have.
Whedon went on, confirming that this wasn't a fake-out and that they're definitely not doing one. "We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’"
Can we infer anything from this absence, we wonder?
POSSIBLE SPOILERS, HO!
There's been rumblings for some time that a major player in the film will be killed - and we mean, actually killed.
Not like the way they offed Coulson and then brought him back for the TV show.
Not that we didn't love Coulson, but, y'know - we were sad when he died.
Our favourite post-credits scene? Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
