Joining the likes of The O.C. and, well, that's all we can think of, '90s throwback Clueless is getting a musical update.
The original director / writer, Amy Heckerling, is on board to script the whole thing and has hired Kristin Hanggi to direct it. She previously worked on Rock of Ages, the international musical smash that was turned into a pretty dull film with Tom Cruise.
Although Clueless is essentially an update of Jane Austen's Emma, the musical won't feature any new songs.
Rather it'll be what's known as a Jukebox musical - meaning they'll take existing songs and fit them around whatever's on stage.
No casting has taken place as of yet, however there's been quite a few people who have expressed an interest.
Katy Perry, for one, spoke to Heckerling about playing the role of Cher Horowitz and we're guessing Donald Faison can come back because, let's face it, Scrubs was over a long time ago and he hasn't been up to much since.
Who would you want to see return for the musical? Let us know in the comments!
