Darren Aronofsky is a director who is very much sought after by studios, after he lit a fire under the ass of Mickey Rourke’s career, bagging him an Oscar Nomination for The Wrestler. He was to develop an intriguing sounding remake of Robocop, but that seems to have hit the skids, and he will instead helm a heist movie after The Black Swan - the supernatural thriller that Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis will headline. The Heist movie doesn’t have a title, but according to Variety will be set in the UK, and based on the real-life robbery that saw a massive £53 million nicked from a Securitas depot in 2006. Some of the gang have already been convicted, but investigations into the rest are apparently on-going. Aronofsky is throwing around words like "gritty" and "character driven" and who am I to argue with him?
