We're looking forward to this one
'The Suicide Squad' will get a release in Irish and UK cinemas earlier than in the US.
We reached out to Warner Bros. regarding the release of 'The Suicide Squad' and can confirm that the date has been pushed up.
The superhero movie is due for release on August 6th in America, where it will arrive in cinemas and on streaming service HBO Max simultaneously.
Here in Ireland, the release date has been pushed up a week.
Thus we can expect the movie on our shores on July 30th.
'The Suicide Squad' sees Margot Robbie return as Harley Quinn and Joel Kinnaman back as Rick Flag.
Familiar faces also include Viola Davis as Amanda Waller and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.
New additions that fans can look forward to are Idris Elba as Bloodsport, John Cena's Peacemaker, Peter Capaldi's The Thinker and Pete Davidson's Blackguard. Plus Sylvester Stallone.
The team of anti-heroes are armed and dropped on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese in the movie.
There, on a search-and-destroy mission, they'll trek through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn.
James Gunn of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' fame directs.
