The National Lampoon's Vacation reboot is happening, again, maybe, we hope.
After the film got all-but scrapped last year due to creative differences, "Vacation" has now been given the green light for the second time, and they've gone and added a bankable star to the cast.
Ed Helms will still play Rusty Griswald, the grown-up version kid in the original 80's comedy, and Christina Applegate is still set to play his wife, but they've decided to try add Thor to the cast. Yep, Chris Hemsworth is going to play the news-anchor brother-in-law of Helms, and if that's not enough, Charlie Day is also in negotiations, to play the part of a river raft guide.
It doesn't matter if they've just put him in it to drag a few extra Avengers fans into the screens, Chris Hemsworth and Ed Helms is a bromance that the world deserves, and for that reason alone let's hope this film finally gets made.
Probably a newsworthy story on it's own, Chevy Chase has actually agreed to appear in the film, albeit a cameo. Still, getting him to sign on to anything is a pretty good sign this thing might actually be going ahead.
