'The Last Duel' is holding an open casting call day this week.
By now, you've probably heard that Ridley Scott's upcoming movie, 'The Last Duel', will begin filming in Meath next month, with Adam Driver, Matt Damon and 'Killing Eve' star Jodie Comer set to star.
The movie, based on a historical book of the same name about the last ever trial-by-combat, is shooting in Bective, Co. Meath next month and is also shooting in several other areas around Ireland as well. That, of course, means they're looking for extras and an open casting call has gone out for all sorts of people.
The casting call is taking place this Friday, February 21st, at Liberty Hall in Dublin between 10AM and 6PM. While this isn't an exhaustive list, the casting call is looking for men and women, "bone thin, medium or broadly built, sporty types, tall, long or short hair, or bald men and women, men with or without beards, amputees, and people with crooked or missing teeth."
As with all casting calls in Ireland, it's only open to people who live and work in Ireland, so you've got to have a PPS number, and you'll be called at short notice. The casting call is also looking for anyone with special skills, so if you've got any kind of artisan craft, if you're able to swing an axe or a sword, if you know how to smith or if you're a farmer, they want to hear from you.
