Probably the best action movie ever made, John Woo's The Killer, is to be remade, reports Darkhorizons.com.
The original starred Asian superstar Chow Yun-Fat as an assassin who clips about 700 nasty bastards with guns in order to protect a beautiful woman. John H. Lee is directing the new film, with Woo staying on board in a producing capacity. Jung Woo Sung, who starred in the mental flick, The Good, the Bad and the Weird, will play the lead this time, indicating that the film will, intriguingly, be an Asian remake.
I really don't see how they could improve on the perfection of the original, but hey, I'm game.
