The Inbetweeners 2 is already a record breaker in the UK, as it posted the highest ever single day taking for a comedy this passing Wednesday.
The sequel opened yesterday to a staggering £2.75 million - an astonishing take for a mid week release. While the core demo for the film are on holidays from school and college, it's still proof that a generation who were thought to be trailing off from cinema going, will turn up in droves for the right production. Not only that but in the middle of the week.
The first film in the series took £45 million at the global box office with this sequel garnering generally better reviews as creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris took over directing duties.
It's in Irish cinemas now and you can have a read of our review over yonder.
