If you're a fan of Alfred Hitchcock then you'll definitely love what the IFI are getting up to. December sees the start of a brand new season featuring the 52 surviving Hitchcock films, some shorts and alternate versions of the movies which will take us right through to March 2013.
The Genius of Hitchcock: Part 1 runs from the 9th to the 30th of December with films like The Lodger, Murder and The Paradine Case on show. You might have copped that they're not being shown in chronological order: the flicks have been picked thematically based on the British Film Institute's recent retrospective of the same name. Catch some of the lesser known films in the first installment and see the big hits on the big screen later in the series!
With a Hollywood biopic dropping next year and so much hype still surrounding the director, it's hard to believe Hitchcock's been in the grave for more than 30 years.
