The film adaptation of the Broadway musical stars Taylor Swift, Judi Dench, Ian McKellen and more
A behind-the-scenes look at the new 'Cats' movie was released the other day, whetting people's appetite for the forthcoming feature adaptation of the Broadway musical.
The footage showed its various stars, from James Corden and Jason Derulo top Taylor Swift and Idris Elba, in rehearsal and talking about their roles. However, there was no actual footage from the film included.
Now, the official trailer has dropped and the reaction has been... interesting, to say the least.
There's no doubt that seeing the likes of Judi Dench and Ian McKellen in their feline forms is the stuff of nightmares for many. At best, it's just plain weird.

The Lion King lions look too real. The photo realistic cats can’t express proper emotion.
