The long and winding road that's lead to The Crow deserves its own documentary at some stage in the near future.
Long story short, it fell through so many hands and so many actors that it's basically like a poison chalice. Stephen Norrington, the guy who directed Blade and more or less retired after The League of Extraordinary Gentleman, was lined up at one point and then he bailed.
So it goes that, at long last, it's finally happening with Game of Thrones' very own Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa, as the titular character and music director Corin Hardy taking on the story once and for all. A report by The Wrap has it confirmed from "multiple individuals" that Momoa will be on set as soon as production wraps on Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Momoa is set to play Aquaman in a standalone film with James Wan directing, however that film won't be on our screens until 2018. No release date has been confirmed, nor has there been any official confirmation from Relativity, the beleaguered studio behind The Crow.
However, Jason Momoa himself posted on his Instagram with director Corin Hardy not four weeks ago, with the hashtag #sealthedeal underneath as caption.
