"Light as a feather, stiff as a board."
People of a certain generation, now most likely in their early thirties, will hold a special place in their heart for 'The Craft'.
Originally starring Neve Campbell, Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney and Rachel True, the 1996 supernatural horror became a cult hit, not to mention being a regular Halloween movie choice for ageing goths. Anyway, the movie is long overdue a sequel and sure enough, there's one on the way this spooky season.
'The Craft: Legacy' picks up the story over two decades later, with a young girl joining a new high school and struggling to fit in. Eventually, she's taken in by a group of girls who just so happen to be a coven of witches. Naturally, things begin to spiral out of control when they lose track of their powers, and it might have something to do with some of the cast of the original movie.
The most notable names in the cast are probably Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny, who play the parents of the lead character, played by upcomer Cailee Spaeny. Fairuza Balk is listed in the cast, so expect her to turn up for a cameo as Nancy Downs somewhere in the movie too.
'The Craft: Legacy' hits Irish cinemas on October 28th. Here's the trailer.
