One of the great things about on-demand services like Netflix is that it lets you discover really cool little comedies you may have overlooked and missed at the cinema. Here's ten comedies you can watch right now!

10. HEATHERS

Did you have a brain tumour for breakfast? Exactly how does one do that? If you've watched and enjoyed Mean Girls, you're basically watching a culturally-updated version of Heathers. Winona Ryder is Veronica, a smart girl who falls in with the wrong crowd and manages to attract a dangerous outsider in the shape of Christian Slater. It's all horribly early 90's, but it's a lorra-lorra fun.

9. HIGH FIDELITY

I don't know about you, but after seeing this film, we wanted to run out and work in a music shop after this. John Cusack plays the cantankerous, curmudgeonly music shop owner who's working down his Top 5 relationships - or rather, break-ups. There's an amazing support cast of Tim Robbins, Jack Black, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joan Cusack, not to mention some hilarious one-liners and a fantastic soundtrack. Our favourite scene? When the father comes in looking for Stevie Wonder and Jack Black just demolishes the man in five seconds. "It's a Cosby sweater. A COSBY SWEATER."

8. CLUELESS

Back when this came out, it's fair to say we were all dumb virgins who couldn't drive. Clueless has a special place in our hearts because it's tacky as hell and absolutely hilarious. We just love Alicia Silverstone's cocky-as-hell attitude. AS IF!

7. SNEAKERS

Robert Redford leads a band of misfit hackers and thieves against a crackpot technology guru played by Ben Kingsley. On paper, this sounds like it's some sort of thriller, but Sneakers is actually really funny and very smart, too. You've got Dan Ackroyd as the super-paranoid tech-wizard, David Straithairn as the audio expert and Sidney Poitier as the resident bad-ass. It's cheesy, sure - but absolutely entertaining.

6. STAKEOUT

Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez in a buddy-cop movie? Stakeout is easily one of the funniest films Dreyfuss has ever done and it's a real watermark for action comedies. Everything's so fluid between the two guys, not to mention the fact they're both underrated comedic actors. Our favourite bit? Right here.

5. OFFICE SPACE

Yeah, if you could just go ahead and watch this movie, that'd be great. Mmmkay? Thanks a bunch. If you've ever spent time in an office, if you've ever had a boss you hate, Office Space is the film just for you.

4. A FISH CALLED WANDA

Kevin Kline, man. Where'd he go? A Fish Called Wanda is one of those films you've probably seen somewhere, but never really gave it your full attention. Sort that right now. A Fish Called Wanda is one of the best British comedies ever made, not just because Monty Python stars John Cleese and Michael Palin are in it. No. Kevin Kline gives one of the best insults you're ever likely to see. Check it out. NSFW, obvs.

3. SUPER TROOPERS

Littering and? Littering and? Literring and? Super Troopers has got to be the spiritual successor to the likes of The Naked Gun and Airplane!, not just for the madcap comedy. You've got a group of rag-tag highway patrolmen hell-bent on having fun and wrecking cars, but as well, there's just so much fun to be dervied from their different personalities. Our favourite's got to be Farva. FARVA'S NUMBER ONE, FARVA'S NUMBER ONE!

2. FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF

Be honest with yourself. The first time you saw this film, you wanted to be Ferris Bueller. There's no shame in admitting that. After all, Matthew Broderick manages to make what could be construed as a smart-ass kid into, well, a smart-ass kid who's an absolute legend. Couple that with John Hughes and you've got one of the best teen comedies of the 1980's, or ever for that matter.

1. 21 JUMP STREET

When Channing Tatum isn't taking his top off and dancing around with Matthew McConaughey (see Magic Mike), he's actually got some decent comedy chops. Paired up with Jonah Hill and you've got an unlikely buddy-cop film that is that much more funny with every viewing. Sent to a local high school to pose as teenagers, undercover cops Tatum and Hill both see it as a chance to fix their mistakes from high school as well as make their mark in their police careers. Our favourite character's gotta be Ice Cube as the bad-tempered police captain. "Stop f*cking with Korean Jesus! He ain't got time for yo' problems! He busy with Korean shit!"
