Steven Soderbergh is an obviously talented filmmaker who very much seems to be about the craft of filmmaking. Having recently announced his retirement as a director, it's been revealed that he's being doing second unit work for some of his Hollywood mates.

Soderbergh has worked on Gary Ross' big budget book adaptation, Hunger Games, basically taking footage that doesn't involve any major scenes of dialogue; it instead generally involves shooting cutaways for action or special effects sequences. The Oscar winning director has two big films due for release; the star heavy Contagion and the equally star packed Irish shot action film Haywire.

He has male stripper film Magic Mike with Channing Tatum ready to go, and has been prepping a Liberace film with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon for a couple of years now.
