No biopics for someone as iconic as Stan Lee – he’ll come to life on the big screen in a story as dramatic as the comics he’s created.

First reported by the Hollywood Reporter, Stan Lee’s life rights have been sold to Twentieth Century Fox, who were also behind the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises.

The 70s set action movie will be produced by Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, whose credits include as Twilight and the upcoming Power Rangers. Lee and Gil Champion, Lee's partner at POW! Entertainment, will executive produce.

The logline and title for the film are being kept under wraps, and there’s no writer attached yet, but it has been said that the film will be in the tone of Kingsman: The Secret Service or, as one insider put it, ‘Roger Moore’s 007.’

Lee’s story of growing up poor in the Bronx and entering the comic book world at the age of 17, is the stuff that dreams are made of. In the 1940s, alongside Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he launched the Marvel Age of comics and created characters that have endured for generations, including Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, and others.

They received a new lease of life having being adapted for the big screen since the turn of the millennium, and Lee’s cameo appearances in every Marvel movie are always highly anticipated.

Let us know what you think of the new project in the comments.
