One of the most popular and well-received Irish stage plays in recent years, Dublin Oldschool, is getting the big-screen treatment.
It's been confirmed by Element Pictures that production has begun on the adaptation of the play, with Emmet Kirwan and Ian Lloyd-Anderson reprising their roles from the original theatrical run. As well as this, A Date For Mad Mary's Seana Kerslake, Penny Dreadful's Sarah Greene and Adam & Paul's Mark O'Halloran are set to star.
The film marks director Dave Tynan's first feature-length film, having directed short films like Just Sayin' (with Emmet Kirwan), Rockmount and most recently, We Face This Land.
No release date has been set for Dublin Oldschool, however production is set to begin today and will last four weeks through Dublin and Wicklow.
