The Picture Of Dorian Gray has had many, many adaptations into film over the years.
In fact, the first ever film was a silent movie in 1910 called Dorian Grays Portraet, while the most recent - not counting this, of course - was 2009's Dorian Gray, starring Colin Firth, Rebecca Hall and Westworld's Ben Barnes.
It's been reported in Variety than none other than St. Vincent, real name Annie Clark, is set to direct a female version of Oscar Wilde's novel, with a woman taking the role of Dorian Gray. It's early days yet, of course, so no casting has been announced for the title role, but there's already a huge amount of buzz around the film already.
David Birke, who penned the screenplay for the critically-acclaimed Elle, with Isabelle Huppert, is set to adapt Wilde's novel. St. Vincent's only recently begun making films, taking part in the horror anthology film XX, which was screened in Sundance and is due to make its way onto Netflix next year.
No release date has been confirmed as of yet.
