LeBron James' entertainment company confirmed the release date
LeBron James' 'Space Jam 2' officially confirms when it will release, sending fans of the original movie into a lukewarm frenzy.
Michael Jordan's original 'Space Jam' movie has a tender place in every 80's and 90's child's heart. It was the crossover of our childhood - when would we ever see Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck meet basketball superstar Michael Jordan and that funny guy from 'Ghostbusters' Bill Murray again? Here's hoping they both play at least cameos in the sequel.
Anyway 'Space Jam 2' is moving forward whether we like it or not, and LeBron James will take over the reigns as the basketball star to save the Toons this time around. The sequel released a teaser image last year, and now we have an official release date.
Announcing the date via Twitter, James' production company SpringHill Entertainment tweeted a questionable poster, along with the caption of "July 16, 2021."
Here's the poster for you, which looks like a bad photoshop job to be honest. Let's hope this isn't an indication of the quality of the movie that will come with it.

That's all we have to go on for now, so there's still quite a wait ahead of us until 'Space Jam 2' arrives. However, the announcement only spurred on fans to be even more excited about the sequel - as well as some haters to condemn it.

Why tho?
Space Jam 2 is a bad idea with very little upside.

Will this be the last we see of James' basketball career?

Did the original really suck that much?
I was 11 when Space Jam came out. Michael Jordan was my hero and I loved Bugs Bunny so I could not have been more excited to see it — but it SUCKED. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. https://t.co/ur44o5wuDF
