Dan Aykroyd rocked the boat at over at Sony recently when he was critical of Paul Feig's handling of the Ghostbusters reboot.
The comedian and star of the original film appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch over the weekend and claimed that Feig would "not be back on the Sony lot anytime soon" after the film's poor performance at the box office.
Aykroyd's main problem with Feig seemed to be that the director spent $30-$40m reshooting scenes after ignoring warnings from producers (including Aykroyd) that they were scenes that were needed.

“The director, he spent too much on it and he didn’t shoot scenes we suggested to him. Several scenes that were going to be needed, he said, ‘No, we don’t need them.’ And then we tested the movie and they needed them, and he had to go back — about $30 to $40 million in reshoots.”
However Aykroyd clarified his comments on Facebook after the show saying that Feig made a good movie and he was just disappointed that the cast of the reboot won't get the chance to reprise their roles.
In the wake of Aykroyd's comments about the reshoots and Feig's relationship with the studio, Sony have revealed to Deadline that the amount of money spent on reshoots was nowhere near the figures quoted by Aykroyd.
According to Sony the amount spent on reshoots was closer to $3-$4m.
The studio also clarified that there remains a strong relationship between them and Feig.
