Much like how Darren Aronofsky breathed new life into the seemingly lifeless corpse of Mickey Rourke when he made The Wrestler, Sony Pictures Entertainment has made the decision to resurrect the Frankenstein franchise. The ever-reliable Deadline Hollywood is reporting that former co-president, now producer, Matt Tolmach is at the centre of a pitch for a contemporary version of the classic Mary Shelley tale. Filmmaker Craig Fernandez was behind the initial pitch and will write the script.
