Sharlto Copley is the villain in the (about to film) Spike Lee version of Old Boy - opposite Josh Brolin. So far we haven’t really had a clue about tone, but he's now given us an idea while speaking to MTV:
"They've been very true to the spirit of it. It's dark, it's gritty. They're not sort of softening it, which to me was important. And I'm very excited about that movie. I'm very excited about working with Spike and with Josh [Brolin]. I think it's going to be a film that is really worth redoing and make that idea that is such an unbelievable story accessible to maybe more people than it was originally." The original is f**king mental - in a really great way. A lot of people are wondering how they'll handle THAT ending - me included.
Copley will next be seen in the Matt Damon/Jodie Foster starrer Elysium, from his District 9 helmer Neill Blomkamp
