Super exciting news today emerged on a possible plot for Sex and the City 2. And by super exciting, I mean mind-numbingly predictable. Apparently, Big cheats on Carrie after meeting some broad in London, while Samantha loses her arse after the recession wipes out some of her investments. Big cheats - really? That's the best they could come up with? So we're going to get more shots of Carrie looking all ponderous, while the other three girls are demoted to pure comic relief, then. Well, Dark Horizons is saying that Chris Noth is one of the few to not sign on for a sequel... yet. So the script might have to be rewritten entirely if that's the case. Again, I liked the series; it was smart and funny and very sharply written. But they're really flogging a dead horse here, and there's something extremely cynical about the whole thing - being that the first film did boffo box-office. I still think Noth will return, but they should rethink that awful storyline.
