Seth MacFarlane must really be hoping that those Mayans got it wrong because 2013 looks like it's going to be his year. As if hosting the Academy Awards wasn't enough to keep him busy, The Family Guy creator has a Ted sequel in the works and long-term plans to bring the Griffins to the big screen. Oh, and he's also making a western. Yep, you read that right, a western.
The Hollywood Reporter says Seth's drafted an early script for a Blazing Saddles style western with the help of Ted dream team Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. The project's still in its early stages but it's already got a name. A Million Ways To Die In The West will see MacFarlane step in front of the camera for the first time. He spends so much time in that sound booth that it will be odd to actually see him on screen.
The film's also said to be a bit grittier than your usual MacFarlane production, taking a sobering look at life and death in 19th Century America. Better grab your thunder buddy before heading to see it so!
