Great news for all Harry Potter / JK Rowling fans, there's even more Potter-verse films on the way.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them isn't out until November, but Warner Brothers today confirmed they're working on two follow up films, scheduled for release in 2018 and 2020. The three films will form a connected trilogy.
The second movie will again be scripted by J.K. Rowling, and directed by David Yates, who helmed the first instalment, as well as the final four Harry Potter films.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was originally published in 2001, as a fundraiser for Comic Relief. It was released as a mock textbook, but the film version will tell the story of book's 'author' Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a wizard zoologist who specialises in magical creatures.
In a statement given by Warner Brothers, they said that the second film "moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances,".
News of this film comes just days after the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script, and the premiere of the play in London.
