'School of Rock' actor and musician Kevin Clark has passed away.

According to reports, the 32-year-old was involved in a fatal collision in Chicago while riding his bicycle. The incident happened early on Wednesday morning when he was struck and killed at an intersection that is known for being notoriously dangerous in the city.

Paramedics were called and took him to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:04 a.m. The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman, was issued several citations.

Kevin Clark was a very active musician and teacher, and only this past weekend had he performed live with his new band.

Jack Black, who worked with the late star in the comedy movie 'School of Rock', shared a tribute to the musician on his Instagram page.

Uploading two pictures taken with the two performers years apart, his post reads: "Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community."

According to the Chicago Sun Times, his mother Allison Clark said of her late son: "He told his bandmates just yesterday: You know, this is finally the life I want to live. And we’re going to make it. You’re my musical family — my family — and we’re all going to make it.

"He loved music. He’s just a raw talent. He’s got a heart of gold."
