In some sequel news we didn’t see coming, Jack Black has signed on the dotted line for a follow-up to the 2003 hit School Of Rock, with director Richard Linklater also returning to helm. This time Black’s hard rocking Dewy Finn will teach a bunch of kids about the history of rock, while taking them on a road trip across America. The first film was really good fun and truly suited Black’s energetic persona down to the ground, but a sequel? The fact that all the guys behind the success of the first film are returning is a good sign; but there is no word yet on if the kids from the band will make an appearance. They really should bring them back, even just to keep them off the streets. The first film was immortalised with the hilarious line "your kids have touched me, and I’m pretty sure I’ve touched them too" Priceless.
