Rumours are rife in Hollywood this morning that renowned character actor, Peter Sarsgaard, is being lined up to play the villain in the soon-to-shoot comic book epic, The Green Lantern.
If Sarsgaard signs on, he'd play Dr Hector Hammond, who becomes a right proper nasty bastard when exposed to a similar meteorite as Hal Jordan - who eventually becomes The Green Lantern.
Blake Lively just bagged the role of a lifetime as Carol Ferris, the love interest; while Ryan Reynolds beat out every young star in Hollywood to take the lead superhero role. Martin Campbell is to start shooting the flick in March, for a summer 2011 release.
