Ever wondered how people would look and dress way back when in Biblical times? Rustic, right? Well with these snaps from Darren Aronofsky's Noah, now you can get an idea. Our imagining of how people looked corresponds nicely with his vision (that's not to say it's gospel or anything) and what's more, you couldn't get a better actor to play a role as iconic and weighty as Noah than Russel Crowe. He's played a Gladiator with the weight of the Roman Empire on his shoulders, he's played Superman's Dad for Chrissakes and now he's taking on the ark. Is there anything he can't do?
As for the plot, we've been informed that Noah will focus on the finer details of the old story, however the ark will take the form of an actual ark, rather than a ship (for travel). All Crowe's got to do is withstand that pesky flood, convince the naysayers of his theories and save the future of the human race along with and all the animals. No presh.
As per Collider, Crowe says his Noah isn't so much a benevolent character than a guy who 'can get the job done'. Expect lots of rain, lots of hair and a general air of epicness.
It's also got one of the most apetite-whetting casts, featuring Anthony Hopkins, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Jennifer Connolly and more.
