Ronan Keating is lending his dulcet tones to one of the most iconic characters of the modern age - Postman Pat.
He will play the singing voice of the friendly country postman in the upcoming film version of the much-loved kids' show while Stephen Mangan is the man behind Pat's speaking voice.
This won't be Ronan's big screen debut however; he appeared in an Australian flick (he's big over there) called Goddess. Nope, does not ring any bells for us either.
Anyway, Keating said 'It's been a true honour to help bring Postman Pat's singing voice to life. I grew up watching Pat and all the great characters in Greendale, so I can't wait to take my kids along to see them all on the big screen.'
Other names attached to the film which will hit our screens in May next year are Jim Broadbent, Harry Potter's Rupert Grint and former Dr. Who David Tennant.
So why does Pat need a singing voice? Why he enters a talent competition of course! So it's going to be a stop-action Paul Potts One Chance kind of thing? Fun for all the family.
Altogether now, 'Poshtman Pat, Poshtman Pat, Poshtman Pat and his black and white cat!'
