It was rather quiet across the water over the Bank Holiday weekend, but sure they're more than making it up for it with the mid-week rush. Yup, there's all manner of news coming from Hollywood this Wednesday, and Robert Redford, Tim Burton and Will Arnett are smack bang in the middle of all the action...

If you're going to get someone in to play Samuel L Jackson's boss, then why not get one of the best actors in Hollywood? All The President's Men star Robert Redford has confirmed that he will be taking on the as yet un-named head of S.H.I.E.L.D in Captain America: The Winter Soldier."The Captain America thing is just a very simple thing," Redford told Spinoff. "I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something just to be different. Something bold, different. And that felt like a good thing to do. That was it, nothing more to it than that. Well, it's bold in terms of expectations, I guess." We'll see how bold when it hits Irish cinemas on April 4th 2014...

Speaking of wild, weird and wonderful, Tim Burton's just been confirmed to direct Big Eyes. Deadline says he'll be taking the helm of the film, which will reportedly centre on the 'awakening' of the painter Margaret Keane. After Stoker, we're never quite sure what that word 'awakening' means. Anyway, with big names like Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz attached, it will most likely be an absolute cracker.

And finally, Will Arnett. You'll remember we told you a few weeks back that Megan Fox would be hanging out with those Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Well, looks as though Amy Poehler's ex will be too. The Hollywood Reporter says Arnett has been cast in a MAJOR lead role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but it's currently being kept a secret. We're going to call it and say there are three possibilities here: Splinter, Shredder or Casey Jones? You decide.
